City of Harare To Continue With Demolitions.

There has been an outcry from Harare residents over demolitions being out by City of Harare without alternative accommodation.
Residents challenged the law arguing that the demolitions of houses without alternative accommodation is a violation of people’s rights stipulated in the constitution of the right to life enshrined under Section 48.
Reports reaching this desk say Harare City Council has won twenty court cases against twenty housing cooperatives and individuals. City of Harare Spokesperson confirmed this information to CORAH
“We have won more than twenty cases and demolitions of illegal structures, the Harare city council will start demolitions soon since everyone was notified of the pending demolitions” said Michael Chideme City of Harare spokesperson
