As 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence commence under the theme “Orange the World, Fund, Respect, Prevent, Collect”, Female Prisoners Support Trust has programs lined up for this year’s commemorations to raise awareness on gender-based violence towards former female prisoners as one of the most vulnerable in communities.

“As we commemorate these 16 days we have taken it upon ourselves to gather all former female inmates on 1 December so that they can share and discuss the abuses they are facing after their release from jail” said Beauty Chagadama FEMPRIST Programs Officer.
