Women in Glenview have raised concerns over lack of adequate water at Glen View Poly Clinic which offers maternal and other health services including COVID -19 vaccination.

Pregnant women who attended the women’s dialogue meeting held recently in Harare urged the city fathers to solve the water challenges saying they are now being referred to Budiriro1 clinic where they end up being congested in one labour ward with no physical distancing measures taken hence putting them at high risk of contracting COVID- 19.
“City of Harare must put effort in solving this water problem women in labor are put in one room, being attended by one nurse without following COVID-19 measures and they are high chances of contracting the virus” said Mrs Nhorivo a Glenview resident.
The community Sister in Charge at Glenview Polyclinic explained that the water problem at the clinic was due to a non-functional borehole.
“Water is needed to attend pregnant women, currently our borehole is not functional so we refer them to nearby Budiriro polyclinic for assistance.” said Community Sister in Charge at Glenview Polyclinic Ms. Mujombiza.
