Kuwadzana Vendors To Get New Vending Market.

Kuwadzana Extension Ward 44 Councillor Adonia Shoko held 2020 State of the Ward Address with the theme development through community initiatives where he promised vendors in the community a new vending market.

Councillor Shoko shared the importance of constructing a market place and public toilet which will start and be completed within 3 months . Pledges were made by members of the community raising a total amount of $3,410 USD , RTGS 1000, eight-nine bags of cement and 10 100 bricks. A committee was set up to manage this project and it will kick off as soon as the above pledges are collected. The market place will be built at Call Box shopping centre in Kuwadzana Extension.

“We are going to start with public toilet and market which will accomodate vendors who are now selling their goods everywhere said councillor Shoko.

Kuwadzana vendors expressed gratitude that the market was prioritised from the list of developmental projects to be done. “We truly honour our councillor for this development meeting and putting the market first from his to do list of developmental projects” said Douglas Mubaiwa a resident and vendor in Ward 44

In attendance was Mayor of Harare, Mayor Jacob Mafume. business people ,church leaders, local ward leaders , representatives from different political parties and residents who appreciated councillor Shoko for such a great initiative.
